About Large 3D Printer XT-P-18

As mentioned before, we call XT-P-18 a “large 3d printer” due to it has a big capacity of build volume 300*300*400mm. You know, different with commercial there are 2 main types of home use 3d printer: FDM and SLA, for printing gadgets, personalized models, garage kits and so on. So ,300*300*400mm is large enough for personal use to print what you want.

Printing Accuracy

Whether it is a professional 3d printer? An important indicator is the printing accuracy, and what is it? It is the degree of accuracy of printed item compares with preset model, in other words, it means exact extent. FDM technology uses the stepper to move back & forth left & right, the platform moves downward to print models: stepper, filament and nozzle play important roles together. It means, moving speed of stepper, melting rate of filament and run out from nozzle effect the accuracy together. To most of desktop FDM 3d printers, normal value is 0.2mm, but for XT-P-18 can be 0.1mm – that means XT-P-18 is progressive.

Hotend

In FDM type of 3d printer, hotend is used as a heating extrusion device, includes (or called as ) extruder and nozzle. Hotend is used to melt printing material ( like PLA ABS) which sent in by extruder and then sent out through nozzle to print for models. What we need to point out is the nozzle: nozzles would be worn out easily due to it works in a high temperature environment and last for hundreds of hours. So XT-P-18 was equipped with a brass nozzle to solve the problem (high temp resistance feature), temperature range from 0-260°C.
